The approved fitment, GitiSynergy H3, will be supplied in size 245/40 R20 99Y XL and was specifically engineered to meet BMW Group's demanding performance, efficiency, and sustainability requirements for its latest electric vehicle platforms.

The tyre delivers exceptionally low rolling resistance and reduced noise levels, while also offering extended wear life and an aerodynamic sidewall design. It achieves the highest EU Rolling Resistance label rating of A and will carry the * symbol on the sidewall, signifying BMW Group homologation in accordance with the manufacturer's OE specifications.

This latest nomination further strengthens Giti Tire's relationship with BMW Group, following previous OE approvals for the BMW 1 Series and MINI models.

Nicolas Kluson, Key Account Manager Europe OE for Giti Tire, said:

"BMW Group's homologation programme required a tyre capable of achieving very low rolling resistance without compromising handling performance. Successfully meeting these requirements highlights the advanced engineering capabilities within Giti Tire's global R&D network."

"This project represents another important OEM milestone for Giti Tire and reflects our commitment to developing innovative solutions that support the evolving demands of electric mobility. As sustainability becomes increasingly important for both vehicle manufacturers and drivers, we will continue to push the boundaries of tyre technology."

The approved fitment was designed and engineered at Giti Tire's European Research & Development Centre in Hannover, Germany, with testing conducted at the company's MIRA proving ground in the UK and additional validation at key locations in Germany and Spain.

The project utilised AdvanZtech, Giti Tire's globally integrated research and development platform, which combines expertise from the company's international network of R&D centres, testing facilities, and engineering teams.

The nomination reinforces Giti Tire's ability to deliver OEM solutions that meet the increasingly complex requirements of modern electric vehicles while further strengthening the company's position as a trusted engineering partner to leading global vehicle manufacturers.
